May 17, 2022
Tuesday

Nancy Krulik

Reading from her book… The Great Mathemachicken

A young chapter book series about a chicken who loves math, science, and learning new things!

Nancy Krulik writes books for kids because she wants them to love reading as much as she does. Nancy’s ideas come from some of the strangest places–the idea for Katie Kazoo’s switcheroos came from a dream she had about a girl who turned into a hamster! George Brown’s magical super burps are based on her son Ian’s uncanny ability to burp the alphabet!

Nancy is the author of more than 200 books for children and young adults, including three New York Times bestsellers. She is best known, however, for being the author and creator of the Katie Kazoo Switcheroo, Princess Pulverizer, George Brown Class Clown, How I Survived Middle School and Magic Bone book series. New and upcoming books series include Ms. Frogbottom’s Field Trips and The Great Mathemachicken.

Nancy currently lives in Manhattan with her husband, composer Daniel Burwasser, their two children, Amanda and Ian, and a wacky beagle mix named Josie.
