Coach Dana Cavalea is the former Director of Strength & Conditioning and Performance for the New York Yankees. He led the team to a World Championship in 2009. That same year he was awarded the Nolan Ryan Award given to the top Strength & Performance Coach in Major League Baseball as voted by his peers. Coach is the author of his best selling book, “Habits of a Champion, Nobody Becomes a Champion By Accident”.
The “Champion Kids” book series introduces kids to positive leadership and life lessons through stories about life, obstacles, and optimism.
The first book of the “Champion Kids” book series is “Johnny The Jet Saves The Day”.
A story about being a leader, standing up to bullies and doing what is right. Coach knows that bullying is a very tough topic for kids today! This book helps teach kids about how to handle situations like that.

The second book “Champion Kids Presents: Girls On the Run Starring Mighty Melina” is written to empower little girls to work together as a team in order to go to the next level in sports, school and life. The third book of the series is entitled “Champion Kids Presents: Disco Dezy Inspires The World”. Inspired by and dedicated to Coach Dana’s good friend Matthew ‘Dezy’ DiStefano. A story that teaches kids to support each other through the good and bad times.
