Help us upcycle gently used books
in TWO different ways:
Make a Book Donation
Do you have books on your bookshelf that you haven’t read in a long time? Did you know there are some kids who don’t have books of their own at home? Consider donating books you no are no longer reading to The Book Fairies! We will happily accept them to get them back out to children and schools in local high-need communities.
Talk to your parent or guardian and let them know you want to donate some of your gently-used books to The Book Fairies and let them know the following instructions on how to get the books to us:
For all books that can be donated to The Book Fairies, please contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org or call: 516-557-6645 to arrange a date to drop the books at our Freeport warehouse. Donations must be in copy paper sized boxes with lids or tops that fold closed. If you have more than 5 boxes, please contact us for a possible pick up. Our warehouse is located around the back of 70 North Main Street, Freeport. We are open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 10am-3pm. Please use the red donation bin for all after hours donations.

Host a Book Drive
The Book Fairies receives the majority of our book donations by asking schools, organizations and individuals to host a one week book drive. Book drives are a great way to learn about community service! Ask your school, troop, or any other organization you are involved in if you can help them run a drive. All age books are accepted from birth through adult. We ask that all books are separated into the categories listed below. Please box all books in “copy paper”sized boxes that either have lids or tops that fold closed.
1. Baby Board Books (cardboard inside pages)
2. Elementary Picture Books
3. Elementary Chapter Books
4. Young Adult Books (Middle School/High School level)
5. Adult Books
Please fill out the form below if you are interested in hosting a book drive to support literacy in our area.
